Fostering Business Relationships Through Bouquets
Over several years we've learned that effective corporate gifting isn't about perfect floral designs—it's about mastering the subtle craft of professional relationships and the timing that matters most.
How We Cracked the Corporate Gifting Challenge
In early 2012, we kept hearing the same gripe from business clients: "Stunning blossoms, yet they arrived after the meeting had concluded." That's when we realized we weren't just arranging flowers—we were shaping moments that could make or break professional relationships.
The Timing Breakthrough We Fell Into
Our breakthrough came from a distressed client in 2020. Their crucial investor meeting was moved up by three hours, and they needed arrangements delivered to match. Rather than deeming it impossible, we created what we now call "flex-timing"—arrangements designed to look flawless whether they arrive at 9 AM or 2 PM.
"Now we craft designs with multiple 'peak moments' across the day, so your flowers never look like they're waiting around."
Our Approach to Solving Problems
We created this method after seeing many well-meaning gestures spark awkward moments instead of genuine connections.
The Context Exploration Phase
We learned it the hard way when a client's congratulatory arrangement showed up during a tough restructuring announcement. Now we ask questions florists typically overlook: What’s currently going on in your business? What’s the prevailing mood?
Recent example: a client aimed to honor a partnership but noted their partner company was facing a family tragedy. We moved from festive celebration to considerate support—same partnership recognition, but a wholly different emotional tone.
The Grounded Feasibility Check
Exquisitely arranged pieces that are hard to sustain become awkward within days. We learned to tailor designs for real office settings—air conditioning, changing light, busy front desks that may forget to water.
Our "office-ready" picks feature blooms that dry gracefully instead of wilting, and arrangements that appear purposeful even if not perfectly maintained after a hectic week.
The After-Delivery Innovation
We found that the true impact emerges after delivery. A client noted that guests were still asking about their flowers weeks later, still looking fresh. That's when we realized we weren’t just delivering gifts—we were sparking ongoing conversations.
Now we add discreet care notes that help the recipient keep arrangements looking professional longer, along with seasonal refresh options for clients who want to sustain that polished look year-round.
The People Behind the Process
We're not traditional florists, and that's probably why our approach works. Our backgrounds in business consulting and hospitality management taught us to see gifting as relationship strategy, not just decoration.
